If you are a first time home buyer and are planning on buying a home, one of the most important things you understand is first time home buyer financing. It’s never a great idea to start shopping for a home if you don’t know for sure whether you can be approved for a mortgage, how much the lenders will approve you for, and if the monthly mortgage cost is something that fits into your budget.
This is why it’s a good idea to sit down with your local financial institution or a mortgage broker/agent for a mortgage pre-approval before you begin shopping for a home. The last thing you want happening is to find a home you fall in love with only to find out that you can’t even get a mortgage as a first time home buyer.
