  • As a seller it is hard to know what to do but I have to believe that selling my house is like selling any other consumer product. Looks matter. I have also learned that I have gotten used to our chipped paint, scuffed wood floor, old kitchen and mismatched furniture which makes the house look worn and know this could turn off buyers. If I make these changes I get to enjoy them while we still live in the house, plus some of the stuff comes with us. In today’s market I am hoping that by making the changes I will get a better price as the next buyers don’t have do any work. Our house is listed for over $1 million so by making the changes that our stager recommended we feel better about the house and have to believe that buyers will too. Why didn’t we do this when we first moved in? We are no longer the sad house on the street.
